This precious tree is an important part of the Indian heritage. Its wood is used as incense, in the aromatherapy and perfumes.

Originally from tropical Asia, the sandalwood gives us the essential oil from its yellow bark. It’s also named the “liquid gold”. Once distilled, this essence ages for 6 months.

The most famous sandalwood essential oil comes from Mysore. India produces 70% of its world production.
